In 2016, Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg set out to make Facebook the "most philanthropic company in the world" by donating 99 percent of shares to charity and encouraging employees to connect with causes they care about.
We created a global integrated campaign to promote the initiative, beginning with an anthem video that I wrote, edited and produced. Mark Zuckerberg presented the video at Facebook HQ to open his corporate citizens address. The company's Global Creative Director said the video “made [him] proud to work at Facebook.” In total, the campaign motivated over half of global staff to participate in Global Causes Day, exceeding our goal of 33%.
