In 2016, Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg set out to make Facebook the "most philanthropic company in the world" by donating 99% of shares to charity and encouraging employees to connect with causes they care about.
We created a global integrated campaign to promote the initiative, beginning with an anthem video that I wrote, edited and produced. Mark Zuckerberg presented the video at Facebook HQ to open his corporate citizens address. The company's Global Creative Director said the video “made [him] proud to work at Facebook.” In total, the campaign motivated over half of global staff to participate in Global Causes Day, exceeding our goal of 33%.
